WOMAN'S RIGHT TO KNOW​

According to Oklahoma Law, Title 63 O.S §1-738.2, an abortion can only be performed on a women considering an abortion if she voluntarily consents to the procedure, and she is fully informed. Consent to an abortion is informed and voluntary if and only if:

A doctor or their agent tells the woman not less than 24 hours prior to the abortion:

The name of the physician who will perform the abortion.

The medical risk associated with the particular abortion procedure to be employed.

The probable gestational age of the fetus or embryo at the time of the abortion is to be performed.

The medical risks associated with carrying a pregnancy to term.

The possible detrimental psychological effects of an abortion and of carrying a pregnancy to term.

Agencies that provide, at no cost, ultrasound imaging and heart tone monitoring.

Medical assistance benefits may be available for prenatal care, childbirth, and neonatal care.

A father is liable to assist in the support of his child, even when the father offered to pay for an abortion.
