WHAT TO EXPECT

When you enter Compassion Women’s Center for the first time you will immediately notice that our lobby has a comfortable, welcoming feeling, and is decorated in a lovely, calming color scheme. You will immediately be welcomed by one of our caring volunteers. They are waiting to help you whether you need a pregnancy test, want to speak to someone about what options you have regarding your pregnancy, you are seeking information about an abortion, or maybe you need emergency assistance with diapers or wipes. You will also find a volunteer who wants to comfort and listen to your feelings if you are grieving a miscarriage or infant death. We are also here for you if you are experiencing stress after an abortion.

CHECK-IN
​
We will ask you to fill out a few questions on a tablet. The questions are simple things such as your name and phone number. We do not ask for financial information. All of our services are free and not income based. We will ask if you would like spiritual counseling during the meeting. You will not be denied service if you say no. We are here to serve your needs, however best fits you.

Once you have checked in, you will be escorted to one of our conversation rooms to meet with trained volunteers. They will listen respectfully to your needs and help you determine what course of action should be taken during the meeting.

CARING, NON-JUDGEMENTAL, AND CONFIDENTIAL

You will find the volunteers at Compassion Women’s Center will personally care about you and your circumstances. We are not here to judge your actions or pressure you into making a particular decision about anything. We are here to help you make an informed decision regarding what is best for you in your situation. Everything you say to us is confidential. We will not disclose any of your information to anyone, unless you authorize us to do so. You are free to talk openly to us.

One of our core values that we stand by is integrity. Upholding this value requires us to be completely truthful with you. We will not misrepresent anything or play word games with you. We will only be honest with you and provide you with accurate information. You will come to trust us, because we will earn it.

Each year there are close to 6,000 unplanned births in Oklahoma. We can help you successfully parent or parent through adoption if you are one of the 6,000. Let us empower you to be the parent you want to be and we know that you can be.
